Meet the board

A board elected by residents, not appointed.

Our board is elected at an open annual meeting. Anyone who lives or runs a business in Burgersdorp can stand for a seat or vote. The board seats 9–11 members drawn from the diaspora, local professionals, the Coloured/White community, and township representatives, with at least 40% women and historically disadvantaged groups holding 60% or more of seats.
